Qn: You describe the Universe as consisting of matter, mind and spirit. The expanse of matter, energy (Mahadakash), the expanse of consciousness (Chidakash) and of pure spirit (Paramakash).
You are suggesting consciousness too is universal. It implies a being, an object and the fact of being conscious. That which is conscious is a person. Are persons real and universals conceptual?
Ans: Neither are real. To be a person, you must be self conscious. What about gaps in sleep, even during waking.
To be a person, you need memory. You said 'I am, but I do not know that I am'. Do you remember every second of yesterday.
Qn: Consciousness stands alone. The person and the world appear in consciousness.
Ans: The real is truly independent. Since the existence of person depends on the existence of the world, it cannot be real.
Our usual attitude is of 'I am this'. Separate consistently and perseveringly the 'I am' from 'this' or 'that', and try to feel what it means to be, just to be, without being 'this' or 'that'.
All our habits go against it and the task of fighting them is long and arduous. The clearer you understand that on the level of the mind you can be described in negative terms only, quicker you will come to the end of your search and realize your limitless being.
