40. Only the Self is Real

Qn: The person immersed in the world has a life of many flavors. He weeps, he laughs, loves and hates, desires and fears, suffers and rejoices.

Ans: The world is but a show, glittering and empty. Only the onlooker is real, call him Self or Atma.

Qn: The desire-less and fearless Gnani; What life has he?

Ans: It tastes pure, un-caused, undiluted Bliss.

Qn: Is there no Brahma, the Creator?

Ans:As long as you are outside my state, you will have Creators, Preservers and Destroyers.

Qn: We are getting old. Old age is not pleasant with aches & pains and the approaching end.

Ans: A Gnani growing older grows more happy and peaceful. He who experiences body, experiences its pains and pleasures.

Mind is a form of consciousness and consciousness an aspect of life. Life creates everything. The Supreme is beyond. My Guru's Guru after announcing that his end was nearing stopped eating.

On the 11th day at prayer time, singing and clapping, he died suddenly. I am not afraid of death because I am not afraid of life. I live happy and shall die happy.

It is enough to know the "I am" as reality and love. The gospel of Self realization once heard will never be forgotten.

Like a seed left in the ground, it will wait for the right season and sprout and grow into a mighty tree.
