Qn: What is the proof of Truth? No Philosophy, religion, doctrine or ideology can be proof of its own Truth.
Ans: What about Science?
Qn: Science is circular. It starts and ends with the senses.
Ans: Look for truth beyond Mind.
Qn: Any drug can induce trance cheaply and quickly. Even Samadhis caused by breathing or mental exercises, oxygen Samadhis, carbon dioxide Samadhis, self induced Samadhis caused by repeating formulas or chain of thoughts. I cannot accept Samadhi as proof of truth.
Ans: Samadhi is beyond experience, a quality-less state.
Qn: Absence of experience is due to in-attention. It reappears with attention. Closing eyes does not disprove light.
Ans: What will prove your proof if true? You refuse testimony as proof; experience of other is no use. Inference from concurring statements is rejected. What is your test of valid proof?
Qn: I do not know. Neither my experience nor existence. They depend on being conscious.
Ans: Being conscious depends on what?
Qn: Formerly I would have said body. I do not know.
Ans: Glad you have abandoned I am the body. Your very being is real.
Qn: Peace, Bliss, Eternity, Immortality, Freedom from pain and fear- all are attractive. But is it attainable? Is it real?
Ans: You are like a child saying prove sugar is sweet. Tasting is the only way. All the paths take you to the purification of the mind.
Qn: Christianity says 'Jesus is your Saviour'. Has the Christian been saved from sin? He replies: My faith is not perfect. A vicious circle-without perfect faith, no salvation, without salvation, no perfect faith and hence no salvation.
Ans: You are taking duality for granted. Your existence is the proof. Investigate. Instead of searching for the proof of truth, which you do not know, go through the proofs you have of what you believe- to know.
You will find you know nothing for sure — you trust on hearsay. To know the truth, you must pass through your own experience. Where is the dwelling place of truth? And how will you know that you have found it?
You are afraid you may be deceived. You are stopping for truth but do not trust the merchant. You are asking for comfort that will last for ever. No state of mind can be everlasting.
Qn: If you say nothing is true, all is relative, I would agree. But you maintain there is truth, reality, perfect knowledge. What will make me say Maharaj was right.
Ans: You are holding on to the need for a proof, testimony, authority. You are the Truth. The discovery of truth is in discernment of false.
Qn: Is truth in the realm of mind or beyond?
Ans: It is neither, it is both, cannot be put in words.
Qn: I hear all the time Anirvachaniya. Does not make me wiser.
Ans: Mind has its limits. To go beyond, consent to silence. Truth can be experienced but it is not mere experience. It is not a reward for good behavior. You need not merit truth.
Qn: In Egypt, people were expelled from bodies to convince them of reality of after-death-existence.
Ans: Body is made of food, mind of thoughts. Non-identification is liberation. You need not know what you are. Enough to know what you are not.
What you are you will never know, for every discovery reveals new dimensions to conquer. The unknown has no limits. Truth is in the discovery- not the discovered.
