14. Appearances and the Reality

Qn: You say events are causeless.

Ans: From the highest point of view, the world has no cause.

Once you create for yourself a world in Time and Space, governed by causality, you are bound to search for causes.

Qn: Once you accept existence, why reject causes?

Ans: I see only consciousness- a picture on the cinema screen is only light. Everything has numberless causes.

If you look from the absolute point of view, why go back to the relative. In the waking state, problems arise. But you are not always in waking state.

Is it possible to know all the causes of each event? Are you not the source and end of every event? Control it at the source.

Qn: A causeless world is beyond my control!

Ans: You are the source and the ground is in your power to change. To take appearance for reality is a grievous sin and the cause of all calamities.

Qn: When God considers the fruit ripe, he will pluck it and eat it.

Ans: You think God knows you. Even the world he does not know.

Qn: Mine is a merciful god, suffering along with us.

Ans: You pray to save one, while thousands die. If all stop dying, there will be no space on earth.

Qn: I am not afraid of death. My God is a simple God and rather helpless. He has no power to compel us to be wise.

Ans: If you and your God are both helpless, does it not imply that the world is accidental. And if it is, the only thing you can do is to go beyond it.
