50. Self-awareness is the Witness

Qn: I can be considered under 3 aspects: the personal (Vyakti), the super-personal (Vyakta) and the impersonal (Avyakta).

Avyakta is universal and real, pure "I". The Vyakta is reflection in consciousness as 'I am' and Vyakti- totality of physical and vital processes. The super- personal is aware of the person/s on the thread of Karma.

It is essentially the witness as well as residue of accumulated experiences, the seat of memory, the connecting link (Sutratma). Are my views right?

Ans: In the level of mind, yes. Beyond the mental, not a word applies.

Qn: Is the absolute Real or a mere theory?

Ans: Both. To the mind, a theory. Awareness — mind — matter — they are one reality in its two aspects as immovable and movable, and the three attributes of harmony, energy and inertia.

Qn: What is your attitude to the Bangladesh war?

Ans: Imagine a building collapsing. The space is not ruined but intact. Death is natural, manner of dying is man-made. In reality, nothing happens. Pictures come and go.

Qn: What a callous view!

Ans: By all means go and get killed or kill. Evil is the stench of a diseased mind.

Realize that your present existence is like a shower of sparks, each spark lasting a second. Dive deeply and solve your problems.
