Qn: A friend of mine is having incurable heart disease. I have sent his photo to a Yogi
in Bombay who can control the vital forces in the body.
Ans: Miracle often takes place. But there must be the will to live. Disease and suffering are not natural. There is noble virtue in endurance. But there is also dignity in refusal of meaningless torture and humiliation.
Qn: According to a book of a Siddha, the way of a Sadhaka (a spiritual aspirant) ends with meeting the Guru.
Ans: However powerful the Guru, he should not impose his will on the disciple. A disciple that distrusts and hesitates is bound to remain unfulfilled. The teacher reassures the disciple of his high origin, noble nature and glorious destiny.
He relates his own experiences and instills confidence. Real happiness comes from within. Others can give you pleasure but never happiness.
Qn: A chain of pleasurable events is good.
Ans: Soon it ends in pain if not disaster. There is no east and west in sorrow and fear. Suffering and its end are universal. Yoga is the science and art of self liberation through self understanding.
The urge that seeks birth, happiness and death shall seek liberation sooner or later. Physical and mental resources will come to an end. Then what- despair? You will get tired of despairing and question and become fit for Yoga.
Drifting is dangerous. That you are — you know. What you are — you don’t know. Find out what you are.
